TURBO PIPELINE PRO 2010 1st DAY OF COMP

The Turbo Pipe comp was held on Friday 12th in contestable conditions. The morning was a bit average but as the winds picked up and cleaned the swell more there were some great waves coming through and the fellas were surfing insane. Standouts were Drew Innocend and Tom Smith, throwing themselves into anything on Backdoor and boosting out into the famous very shallow backdoor flats.

Canarians Salomon Moore, Pablo Claveras, Hector Mihalic and Dani Cid surfed really well and all won their first heats only to be unlucky to not make their second heats. Although surfing powerful and with solid style throughout the their heats they just didnt manage to find that winning wave. For their first year in Hawaii and in the Pipeline comp they did a good job and represented The Canary Islands professionally. They for sure earnt some useful experience for next year.

The next lot of Canarians enter in the later rounds. Diego Cabrera, Airam Cabrera, Ardiel Jimenez, Oliver Herrera and Guillermo Cobo. The forecasts say there is a new swell and good winds so fingers crossed for some more amazing surfing to go down. Monday 8am Hawaiian time will start the next rounds and you can check it here http://www.fluidzone.com/pipe.
